1000 Years of Hubbards
Meet Jack Hubbard
Jack Hubbard spent a portion of his Saturday afternoon polishing his latest truck—the one with 356,000 miles and a dented fender. The 84-year-old quickly introduced himself when I approached telling him he’d picked a great day and a great place to polish his truck.
We talked for about 30 minutes before I made this photo as he stopped polishing and began telling me about the Hubbard family referring to “One Thousand Years of Hubbard History,” a book detailing his family’s heritage.
I’m now invited to join him and a few others in Westerville for their weekly gathering. Not to polish cars but to talk. As we did for about 45 minutes.
