Another Monday Visit
Perhaps the final photo
It’s Monday. I’ll soon be at the Braun Farm on Cleveland Avenue for what may be the final photo of what remains of the farmhouse and barn. By next Monday the debris from the demolition of both structures will be hauled away leaving only disturbed ground in their place.
The land will continue to be farmed. Contracts were signed last week to continue planting corn and soybeans and harvesting hay on the three sections of the fields trisected by Cooper Road and Collegeview.
Most of the photos I made Friday during the demolition were done with a drone. The ground-level views didn’t do visual justice to the destructive impact of heavy equipment on the fragile wood structures. Even the interior view, below, was made with the drone.
