You Shouldn’t
Things got slightly out of hand earlier today as I quickly edited one of the photos of these two young women walking at Hoover on my phone.
I ran the photo through Focos, an app that uses distance data stored in the photo to manipulate the focus points. It also allows changing the specular highlights to match a variety of lenses from antique to more modern including this look of a mirror lens.
Didn’t take me very long to figure out the edit was too severe. The effect became the center of interest instead of the women.
Eventually, I chose a different frame for My Final Photo. One with the women in shadow.
That was a good decision.
