This small gallery of photos is less about parade activities and more about the people who enjoyed it.
Many kids with disposable plastic bags eagerly waited for the next float filled with some sort of sugary treat that would be tossed on the street near them. Lollipops seemed to be a favorite for the tossers but less enthusiasm for the gatherers who ignored the most common candy and raced to possess sour balls and single-serve Skittles.
I always watch for abandoned chocolates. Didn’t see any this year although they are more prominent at the Christmas parade, especially when Kroger is dumping leftover Halloween candy.
