Five Into One
I’ve been wanting to make this photograph for quite some time, but the elements have not been cooperating.
First, I needed a fisherman standing in between these trees. That is a very rare occurrence because it’s difficult to cast the rod so close to the trees. Most of the time the fisherman is further to the left. His position in this photo puts the trees at the edges of the inlet opening and frames the fisherman perfectly.
It needed to be last afternoon to put the fisherman and the trees in shadow.
Prefer a sky with fluffy clouds but I’d waited long enough.
This is a five-exposure stitched panorama shot with a 28mm lens. I could have gotten the same width with a wider lens but the background would have been pushed further away. This view is more accurate to what the original scene looked like.
Well worth the years of waiting.
