More Of The Same
I’ve added another black-and-white construction worker photo to the collection. It’s not one of my better ones but it does serve a purpose. There’s a running gag that this photo will be a part of tomorrow.
It started several weeks ago when I began making regular stops at the Uptown fire suppression pipeline project looking for photos to use at The Westerville News.
Often I would arrive at the moment when work had stopped, usually to consider the next step after having discovered an unmarked underground utility or waiting for the next truck or loader to arrive with materials. Eventually, the joke became “Great! You’re going to make a photo of us standing around, again.”
When I saw the construction supervisor and the project inspector checking paperwork for material delivery, I knew I had the next photo for the series of them standing around.
I’ve moved it to my phone and will slip it into the conversation when asked if I’ve made any good photos recently.
Yes, I have.
