New. Different. Better.
Those are my marching orders every day.
Make a photo that is new, different, or better. Or any combination of the three.
One of my markers for spring is the plowing and seeding of Westerville’s farm fields including the lower section of the Yarnell farm on Africa Road. That was one of my subjects today.
Desiring something different, after having made the ordinary, I wondered what a slow shutter speed photo chasing the seed drill would look like. I’ve made photos of the drill at work but always chased it using a higher-speed shutter.
This photo would be different. Something I’d never done before.
I couldn’t keep up with the drill without striding into a sprint so I zoomed the 28-75 to try and keep the equipment large in the frame. At the lower shutter speed the zoom blurred effect added to the action in what I’ve decided was an expressive way to show the rush to plant before rains come tomorrow.
New? Yes.
Diffeerent? Yes.
Better?
