Night of Dance
I like to assign myself to make photos just as if I’d been given the work by some remote editor whose idea is great but needs some slight modifications once the event begins.
That happened with my assignment to make photos of the costumes at the dress rehearsal for Generation’s patriotic dance presentation. I started as assigned but quickly realized that shooting the costumes wouldn’t be very productive.
The lens selection I’d decided to use was all fast lenses, f1.8 or brighter. Brought along the 50mm f1.4 tilt-shift as an added selection.
While shooting this photo of the younger dancers in their patriotic costumes, I switched to the tilt-shift and forgot about the costumes. I didn’t go back to the original assignment. Below is a photo gallery of my photos after I changed my mind.
