Shudda Stayed Simple
I spent an inordinate amount of time this afternoon before heading to the city council. I’d been trying to make a drone photo of the Sharp Farm property and its unusual configuration with green stripes through fields of gold.
I’ve tried a few times before, but there was always something that was not quite right with the attempt.
The light wasn’t right, or there wasn’t enough of it. It was too windy to fly the drone, or somehow, I couldn’t see a photo in the moment.
Today, it worked, with the exception of me trying to be too fancy and make a panorama photo when it wasn’t necessary or logical.
My Final Photo for today is much better than the multi-frame stitched panorama, which showed curved lines that should be straight, Africa Road with an unintended curve, and an irregularly shaped farm field.
I probably used up a second battery to play with getting a working panorama, but I never got the panorama I wanted. The lines were always curved, and the field was misshapen.
The lower flight level, single frame used as My Final Photo, shows less of the field but more effectively shows the unusual pattern. It’s easier to read and be recognized as a farm field than the more abstract design of the curved photo.
