Sledding Hill Blues
It wasn’t the best snow coverage at the sledding hill in Alum Creek but that didn’t keep kids and their parents from taking advantage of the first significant snowfall of the season.
I’ve made photos at the sledding hill almost every winter storm for more than 15 years so I made a photo feature hunt trip to the hill this afternoon thinking of finding something new, different, or better.
I knew it wouldn’t look the same as it has in the past. The American elm tree that anchored the top of the hill was cut down last year leaving an empty hilltop without a tree spreading its winter boughs over the ridge of the hill.
Below for paid subscribers are photos of the American elm before it was removed and technical details of the photo at the top of the page.
