Snow Secret
The afternoon snow squall started at about 3:45 pm in Uptown. I made photos for about 30 minutes until it transitioned to minor flurries.
There are several tricks I use to make a good snow squall photo.
Choose a dark background to contrast against the white snow. The last photo in the gallery below has an expanse of sky where the snow can’t be distinguished from the clouds. And the look down State Street loses the snow in the background of white.
