The Possible Proposal
One of the photos I made today will not be seen in its complete, original crop for quite some time. If at all.
Just as I finished making My Final Photo for today of Bill Morgan repairing a diamond ring at Morgan’s Treasures I saw a young man holding the diamond he wanted to be inlaid into an engagement ring.
With a little questioning, I learned that the ring will be offered to his girlfriend at an undetermined date and only after getting her father’s permission for the marriage.
I wanted so much to make a photo of this emotional moment but knew that I wouldn’t be able to publish it until the proposal was made the ring offered as the nuptial bonding symbol.
Settled on making one photo. This is the very highly cropped version attempting to eliminate the identity of the soon-to-be groom.
I love these moments.
