I do this every year. It’s almost always the same set of photos, with the only major difference being the tree. There is almost always the same crew, equipment, arrival time, and decorations. Little else is different.
One of the reasons I do it repeatedly is not knowing if somehow this year will be new, different, or better, the three rules that guide me on any assignment.
The rule that applied this year was that the tree had a larger spread of limbs at the bottom than in previous years. One of the workers said that was the reason it was arriving slightly later than expected as it threaded its way to city hall from Olde Mill on the city’s northeast corner.
Everything else was routine. Still, here are a few photos from the arrival and installation.

Being sourced from a local residence makes it all the more special. They felled, transported, and set at City Hall in the same day. Well done!
