Wide and Tight
More Than One Angle
There were several choices on Sunday at Twin Bridges. My Final Photo, at the bottom, was just one of many looks I made at the lake. The top photo is from the same angle as My Final but with a telephoto lens making the silhouetted angler more prominent. That’s an element crucial to communicating the story but becomes the surprise in the super-wide photo. The telephone loses its impact when cropped. The rather spectacular sky is the subject and it is lost in the telephoto photo.
One other photo is the one directly below. It is a different angler from a different angle and a more prominent subject with the sky being an additional element to help with the story.
Another angle was to use the sky as shown in the photo two below. Again, the anglers are very small, at the far left, and the sky plays an important role. Also important is the lengthy land mass reflected in the calm water.
All were made on the iPhone.
