Where Light And Composition Align

This is another photo from yesterday’s foray at the Walnut boat ramp at Hoover where I was working to get an interesting photo of the eastern sky at sunset.

I’d already attempted to make the photo mentioned in yesterday's newsletter and was moving on when the kayaker on the left appeared around the bend and the one further away paddled near the docks.

Just as I raised my camera, I saw the two men in the foreground in mid-stride and the kayaker in the distance settling his oar on the kayak as he moved close to the dock. They fell against a clear background in the shadows along the shoreline.
